About the ISOPod
The idea for the in search of (ISO) podcast came to me after listening to an episode of Townsizing (Small Town Dating Isn't Easy) where two women share their experiences dating in rural America. I thought, wouldn't it be cute if someone listened to this podcast, felt a connection, and sent a note to the podcast in hopes they could meet one of these two lovely women? Adorable.
An audio profile solves some of the issues that I feel plague online dating. It's hard to get a real feel for a person on screen only. Giving a person time to share their voice, their laughter- now that might spark someone's attention! And, while the original idea focused on dating, I realized that this might be a way for people to find friends as well.
I also thought "I am one of those people searching, and what if instead of trying to use dating apps I create a podcast about connections and see what happens?" A friend told me it was a "very Virgo move," and I stand by it.
With a little luck, maybe we can all find what we're in search of.
